How I Found Peace In The Chaos
After many hours of working at home the other day, I felt the need to get some fresh air. I had been providing support to my clients online throughout the day and was looking for a way to release and rejuvenate. So I covered my head, put on my running shoes and went for a run. During my run, something amazing happened!
My epiphany during my run
As I was running, I recognized that because my head was covered in such a way that I could not see the hills ahead of me nor be distracted by the occurrences around me that before I knew it, the run was over. During previous runs, I would become fatigued in anticipation of an upcoming hill or unnerved by a thought of potential danger, yet this run was one of peace and tranquility. Why? Because my focus was only on what was right in front of me.
The challenges and distractions of a difficult time
During this difficult time, it would be so easy to become fatigued by the thoughts of challenges we may face on the road ahead or become distracted by thoughts of something unpleasant happening; yet I challenge you to try to focus on what you see right in front of you and find peace and tranquility within it.
Triumph in the end
Just as my run came to end, so will this difficult time. It will have its ups and down, but we will be triumphant in the end!
